Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the supply of pest management and environmental services by SANVECTA LTDto residential and business customers. Please read them carefully. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Business information
SANVECTA LTD, trading as Sanvecta Pest Management & Environmental Services. Registered in England and Wales. Company number 17351237. Registered office: 98 Eastham Way, Little Hulton, Manchester, M38 9PY. Telephone: 07405 798127. Email: info@sanvecta.co.uk.
2. Definitions
"We", "us" and "our" mean SANVECTA LTD. "You" and "the Client" mean the person or organisation instructing us. "Services" means the pest management and/or environmental services described in our quotation. "Site Visit" means an attendance at your premises by a technician. "Report" means any written record, risk assessment or treatment note we issue.
3. Quotations and acceptance
Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are based on the information supplied by you. All quotations are subject to on-site survey and safe access. A contract is formed when you accept our quotation in writing (including by email) or instruct us to proceed. Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
4. Scope of services and standards
Work is carried out by trained and insured technicians in accordance with the CRUW / CRRU UK Code of Best Practice for rodenticide use, the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986, the Biocidal Products Regulation, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH), the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and the Animal Welfare Act 2006 where applicable. Environmental cleaning services are carried out following method statements and site-specific risk assessments.
5. Client responsibilities
You agree to provide safe access, accurate information about the property and any known hazards, to keep children and pets away from treated areas as instructed, and to follow reasonable recommendations regarding proofing, hygiene and housekeeping. Recurring infestations caused by structural defects, poor hygiene, third party activity, neighbouring premises or factors outside our control are not covered by any follow-up visit unless expressly agreed in writing.
6. Treatments and outcomes
Pest control is a process, not a single event. We do not guarantee complete eradication from a single visit. Results depend on the level of infestation, the environment, the species involved and client cooperation. Where a treatment programme is quoted, the number of visits, monitoring points and follow-up work will be set out in writing. Additional visits outside the agreed programme are chargeable.
7. Use of pesticides and biocides
Only products approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for the intended use are applied, by technicians trained under RSPH / BPCA-recognised syllabi. Safety data sheets and product labels are available on request. Treated areas will be signposted where required and re-entry times, ventilation requirements and post-treatment instructions will be provided on site.
8. Wildlife and protected species
Bird management, squirrel and other wildlife work is carried out under the general licences issued by Natural England and, where relevant, DEFRA guidance. Our preference is humane proofing, deterrence and exclusion; lethal control is used only where legally permitted, proportionate and after non-lethal options have been considered. Bats and other protected species are not disturbed; where suspected, work will be paused and specialist advice sought.
9. Waste and biosecurity
Carcasses, contaminated materials, sharps and controlled waste are handled in line with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005 where applicable. Waste transfer documentation is retained and available on request.
10. Payment terms
Domestic invoices are payable on completion unless otherwise agreed. Commercial invoices are due within 14 days of invoice date. Interest and reasonable recovery costs may be charged on overdue commercial invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
11. Cancellations and missed appointments
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a booked visit. Missed appointments or cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full visit fee.
12. Consumer cancellation rights
For consumer contracts entered into off-premises or at a distance, you have the right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you request that work begins within that period and it is subsequently cancelled, you may be charged for the work already carried out.
13. Insurance and liability
We hold public liability and employers' liability insurance. Our total liability under or in connection with any contract is limited to the price paid for the Services giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for pre-existing structural defects, damage caused by third parties, business interruption, loss of profit or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Complaints
If you are not satisfied, please contact us at info@sanvecta.co.uk with the invoice or job reference. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and provide a substantive response within 20 working days. Complaints not resolved to your satisfaction may be escalated to the director.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
